Description

1956 Dodge Lancer 2 Door Hardtop. DGC2199 VIN 12612199 270 V-8, ""Red Ram"" poly head engine. The poly head was designed to have better flow and intern create more horsepower due to the shape of the combustion chamber. With the upgrades this Dodge should be at least in the neighborhood of 205 hp. It's rated at 189 HP with stock 2-barel carburetor. The man that built this car found a rare vintage Offenhauser performance 4-barrel aluminum intake manifold for it and mounted a new Holley performance carburetor on it. It's also has an upgrade of an electronic ignition, eliminating ignition points. Automatic Pushbutton Transmission, 4 Wheel power disc brakes, Power Windows, Cold Air Conditioning. Now has an alternator. What a beautiful car, the paint and body are excellent on this car. The color combination goes great with all of the chrome and trim. Coker white white radial tires modern rear end. 10 bolt rear end. It has an a.m. FM CD with remote control under the front seat. Seatbelts with retractors have been installed. The floors are original and rust free sound deadening mat was installed on all the floors including the trunk and I believe also in the doors. It is a tricolor car with white briar Rose on top of a darker shade of briar Rose on the bottom and gray metallic with the head of rose pearl in the middle it has been cut and polish to near perfection. The interior is a combination of plate and roll vinyl and hard bound nylon cloth it has new door trunk and hood rubber seals. There are over 60 pieces of chrome and stainless steel that has been re-chromed or hand polished during the build of this car along with countless hours of labor and dedication it is beautiful. This car is a fun one to drive and is quiet and smooth. The is no power steering, but it's easy easy to steer. This Dodge won the ""Best Mopar"" in an annual car show in Twin Falls Idaho. Cond#2+
